Busy time of the year!

Alot has been going on so I am just going to start.

It is finally summer time. Cole will be a junior, Anna will be in 6th grade and Reagan will start Kindergarten this fall actually August 10th and I am finally a senior with 2 semesters left.

Many of you know that we are moving. Yes, we are going to call Orange Beach home. Matt started to work there in May and has been staying at Papa & Nanas condo. Thank you so much. On Monday June 15th he will move into our new home which is located on Cotton Bayou. The children I will be premently moving in July. We are excited and nervous about actually moving. Maybe, I should say that I am the one nervous because I am the one left at home packing everything.

As everyone has always said "A picture is worth a thousand words" so I am going to let yall look at the pictures that will give you an update of everything that has gone on over the last few months.

Quick Update

It has been a long time since I posted. Everyone is doing well. Matt is still working alot of hours. I am in school and work a few 11-7 shifts during the week and 6a-6p shifts every other weekend. Cole is still doing good in school. He is really enjoying the warmer weather so he can fish. Anna is never at home. She is with friends all the time. Reagan just turned 5 yesterday and she is still very demanding of time. She likes to be with us at all times. She will be starting Kindergarten on August 10. Can you tell that I am ready.

Here are a few pictures of the past couple months. I finally got another camera. Thanks Gina!..

Watch Out On The Roads

Monday Cole turned 16. We got up extra early to get to the license office before anyone else. What a bad idea. I think that people must actually camp out there. For goodness sakes its not the day after Thanksgiving sales. We got there around 7:15 and we were already 10th in line and actually only 4th in line for the road test. Of course there is only 1 person giving the test while 10 others sat behind a desk. They finally got started they had 2 test done a little before 10:00. I thought great we may get out of here at an ok time. I failed to mention that I had to be at a clinical orientation in Montgomery 60 something miles away at 11:30. Not attending was not an option because if you missed you were forced to drop the class and come back next semester. I guess that 2 road test constituted a break, a 15-20 minute break. The boy who was 3rd in line had told us we could go ahead of them since I had somewhere to be. I thought that was very nice until we were told there is no number swapping. What the hay? So I am watching the minutes tick away. Thank the good Lord that boys car was dirty. They actually told him he had to vaccum it before they would let him take his road test. Great news for us! Cole was next. I swear I was not that nervous taking my own drivers test many years ago. Off Cole and the lady went. I never knew that it took 20 minutes to drive around a circle. He came back with paper in hand. HE PASSED! I hurried him along because it was now 10:45 and I still had to be in Montgomery in 45 minutes. Finally, he came out with his license. I did not have time to take him and Reagan home so they had to go to Montgomery with me. Of course we had to get gas on the way too. We made it to my clinical site only approx 10 minutes late. Don't even say it yes I was going a little over the speed limit. So not knowing how long I was going to be there I did what any good mother would do, I let a 16 year old who has had his license less than 1 hour drive around Montgomery with his 4 year old sister. Gina was great to meet up with them and spend the afternoon leading them around. Neither one of them wanted to ride with the other. So they both rode in seperate cars around Montgomery. Thanks Gina for spending the afternoon with them.

Anyway be aware that Cole is now on the road without an adult in the car. If you see him doing something crazy let me know.

Just a quick update for everyone. School has started back and we are on the go. I have 4 classes this semester which 2 of them are clinicals. I spend more time in Montgomery than at home. The children keep us on the go BUT Cole will be 16 soon which will help take some of the running off us hopefully.

These are a few pictures that we took on our last beach trip. It was great. I know that I am supposed to live there.

Surprise

I know it has been a long time since we have updated. I just hate to update without pictures but thats what I am having to do since the camera is broke.

The school year was very busy on everyone. Cole is going to be in 10th grade in August. Anna will be in 5th and Reagan will be going to school 5-1/2 days a week. YEAH. I finished my 2nd semester in nursing school and boy did it kick my butt. Only 3 more to go.

The summer has been going great. Cole spent 8 days in Ecuador with the youth group from the Church. Anna has been to the beach and lake with friends. She also is
doing her rounds of Bible School. Reagan has learned to swim. We paid for to take swimming lessons but that was a waste. She went once and would not go back. We could not bribe her or beat her enough to make her go. Matt is just working all the time. I have been to the beach several times. I am also taking 1 class this summer. We are all waiting for our family beach trip. It seems that when we think we have the date planned something pushes it back.

Hope everyone is doing good. Would love to hear from each of you.

Favorite Meal

Tonight we had one of my favorite meals, Chicken and Dumplings, Fried Okra and Cornbread. What even made it better was that my Mom made the dumplings. yum yum.

This is the only thing that can make it better but then again I eat hot sauce on everything including grits.

This is one of the few meals that I will mix all togther. I am one of those that eats all of one thing then goes to the next.

Catching Up

It has been along time since I have written. This is just a conglomeration of what has gone on the last couple of weeks.

Do you remember when your Mom use to roll your hair in sponge rollers? Anna wanted me to roll her hair. Reagan who did not need any extra curls decided she needed rollers in her head too. I will post a picture of the outcome.

Yesterday we went to Montgomery and met Gina at the mall. I love this picture of Cole and Reagan on the Merry-Go-Round.

Anna chose to ride in the spinning tea cup. Coincidentally she rode with a little girl named Anna.

Reagan had as much fun as she could take. Boy was I glad I had the stroller even though her feet could touch the ground.

I took off my shoe to let Anna have my socks so she could ice skate. I found out the embarrassing way that Reagan had colored the inside of my boot with a highlighter. What made it worse was this man next to me who I think was some type of security at the mall told me I was a "train wreck". Can you believe he had the nerve to tell me that?

This is what Santa brought the children.

Here is the tree before the children got up. I was very proud of us this year usually the children get way too much but this year it was downsized. I know that it does not look like it but trust me it was.

This was the big surprise. The children woke up to my parents being here. The had to leave home at 4:15 to make it here by 6:45. You can tell by the picture they, everyone, was still asleep.

We had Matt's manager Christmas party at our house on the 19th. I think Mike and John were having a little too much fun!

It did not take them long to figure out they were out of shape. I guess them smoking while jumping did not help.

Annette with her jr. corndog in her ear. That is a big joke at their work between her and John. Don't even ask!

Hope everyone had a great holiday.

Cinammon Rolls

I thought I would be a good little wife and make cinammon rolls for Matt's employees. It was a lot of work. I made two batches. The second batch looks much better than the first. That is the only reason yall are seeing a picture. I got this wonderful time consuming recipe from www.thepioneerwoman.com. I will say they are well worth the work. One little hint dont eat as much of the dough as I did.

All rolled and cut.
Here they are right out of the oven still naked.

This is the final product! Don't they look Great! Thanks Ree.
